After four days in Denver, I return to New York slightly broken. It was an amazing trip professionally ( I was at the American Institute of Architects 2013 National Convention), which was a huge success. Where I failed was in taking care of my health. Despite loading up on vitamin C, I succumbed to a horrible flu, which I thought was allergies the first 3 days so I didn't treat it.
Things I'll do next time I travel:
- Take vitamin C at least a week before traveling, not the day of (that's a no-brainer, I know).
- Pack my echinacea & goldenseal combo, as well as oregano oil... just in case.
- Check expiration dates on all products (my Airborne tables had expired).
Things I did right:
- I left my home in perfect condition, and stocked with my favorite post trip treats, so when I walked in the door, I almost cried with joy. Clean, crisp sheets, my favorite tea and a rewarding piece of hazelnut chocolate. Perfection.
